Michael Hackstein is a Senior Graph Specialist @ ArangoDB Inc. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and is the creator of ArangoDBs graph capabilities. He is leading the graph development team.

Max Neunhöffer is a mathematician turned database developer. In his academic career he has worked for many years on the development and implementation of new algorithms in computer algebra. During this time he has juggled a lot with mathematical big data like group orbits containing trillions of points.
Jan Steemann
Senior Developer
After more than 30 years of playing around with 8-bit computers, assembler, and scripting languages, Jan decided to move on to work in database engineering. Jan is now a senior C/C++ developer with the ArangoDB core team, being there from version 0.1. He is mostly working on performance optimization, storage engines, and the querying functionality.
Ewout Prangsma

Ewout is an all-round senior software developer / entrepreneur who loves to solve complex technical problems to make life easier for real end users. Having seen lots of programming languages, he prefers to use whatever language fits the problem at hand.
Kaveh Vahedipour
Senior Architect
Kaveh is a Master’s in theoretical physics in Cologne, Zürich, and Bonn. Ph.D. in physics. He joined ArangoDB in 2016 after medical imaging research and lecturing at Juelich Research Center, RWTH Aachen University, Maastricht University, and New York University as a core software engineer. He has been responsible for the development of core facilities in the ArangoDB cluster; among them the consensus infrastructure.
Jörg Schad
CTO
Jörg Schad is the CTO at ArangoDB. In a previous life, he worked on Machine Learning Infrastructure in health care, distributed systems at Mesosphere, implemented distributed and in-memory databases, and conducted research in the Hadoop and Cloud area. He’s a frequent speaker at meetups, international conferences, and lecture halls.
Christopher Woodward
Developer Relations Engineer
Chris has over ten years of experience in all technology angles, including service, support, and development. He is also passionate about learning, and right now, he is focused on improving the learning experience for the ArangoDB community. Chris believes the future is a native multi-model and wants to help tell the world.
Sachin Sharma
Machine Learning Research Engineer in Engineering
Sachin is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at ArangoDB whose aim is to build Intelligent products using thorough research and engineering in Graph Machine Learning. He completed his Masters’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Intelligent Systems. He is an AI Enthusiast who has researched the areas of Computer Vision, NLP, and Graph Neural Networks at DFKI (German Research Centre for AI) during his academic career. Sachin also built Machine Learning pipelines at Define Media GmbH, where he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer and Scientist.
