San Francisco and Cologne, Germany – May 28, 2020 – ArangoDB, the leading open source multi-model graph database, today announced its Kubernetes Operator has achieved Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification. This certification provides Red Hat customers a fully-supported, multi-model graph database that can achieve a stateful deployment in minutes on Red Hat OpenShift, the industry’s most comprehensive enterprise Kubernetes platform.

ArangoDB unites graph, document, key/value data models, and a full-text search engine with a single query language, minimizing the deployment stack and maximizing data access flexibility. As a multi-model graph database, ArangoDB provides developers with efficient flexibility when building their applications, allowing them to leverage different data models anytime by just changing a query.

The ArangoDB Red Hat-Certified Kubernetes Operator has now been published in the Red Hat Container Catalog and can be downloaded here.

“Over the past two years we have seen more and more of our users leveraging OpenShift and Kubernetes to simplify the deployment and operations of ArangoDB,” said Jörg Schad, Head of Engineering and Machine Learning at ArangoDB. “Therefore, we are particularly thrilled to collaborate with Red Hat to bring our scalable, multi-model graph database to Red Hat OpenShift.”

The cooperation between Red Hat and ArangoDB during the certification and as part of Red Hat’s partner ecosystem enhances customer confidence that ArangoDB solutions on OpenShift are fully supported, both from a feature and security update perspective. More than 500 organizations worldwide, including industry leaders like Barclays, Cisco, NASA JPL, Siemens, and Thomson Reuters, leverage ArangoDB’s multi-model graph database as the backbone for their next generation of applications.

“We’re pleased that ArangoDB’s Kubernetes Operator has achieved Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification and is part of the robust Red Hat Partner Connect ecosystem, furthering customer choice in available solutions,” said Julio Tapia, senior director, Cloud Platforms ecosystem, Red Hat. “By providing its Operator on Red Hat OpenShift, ArangoDB users can begin experiencing the next level of benefits from a Kubernetes-native infrastructure, with services designed to ‘just work’ across the cloud where Kubernetes runs.”
